Publikováno 29. 8. 2022

The cultural and community centre Vozovna located in Žižkov is announcing a call for autumn 2022 residencies for artists and art collectives in the fields of theatre, dance, music and literature. We also encourage interdisciplinary artists.

Our programming includes puppetry and children’s theatre, film screenings, gigs, and literary readings. Vozovna is a community space for all, however, our largest visitor groups are families with kids and the elderly from the surrounding area. For the fall season we are looking for projects aimed at general public or cross-generational projects. The residency is open to both Czech-speaking and non-Czech speaking artists residing in Prague.

We offer a residency at the cultural centre Vozovna from October to December 2022 for a total of 21 days (exact dates to be specified upon agreement). We do not offer accommodation.

Technical parameters:

  • 85 m² hall with blackout curtains
  • small stage (7x Nivtec boards, 200x100x40 cm)
  • sound system: 2x150W speakers, 2x handheld microphones, microphone stands, 1x microphone head set, analogue mixing desk, necessary cabling, laptop
  • lighting: fluorescent lamps, LED spotlights

In exchange for the residential space we require:

  • launch of the project/performance TWICE in Vozovna between November 2022 and February 2023 (could be presented as work-in-progress and a premiere later on)
  • acknowledgement of Vozovna in the project’s promotional materials

The space is specifically suitable for:

  • theatre performances and puppetry
