Pragovka Gallery announces an open call for exhibition projects to Pragovka Gallery and The White Room for 2023 and 2024. The exhibition topics will most likely be spread out into the next two years.

Currently, Pragovka Gallery is located on the ground floor of building E, in Pragovka, and is divided into three separate galleries: Pragovka Gallery Rear, Pragovka Gallery Entry, Pop-up (+ Foyer). Due to the reconstruction, it is planned to move the entire gallery (still within the building) before January 2022. The originally architecturally separated space will be replaced by one column hall, which we intend to use a variable system of panels, which can be adapted to the requirements of individual exhibition units. The total area of the new premises will be 1.100 m2 for up to 4 simultaneous projects. However, we are not opposed to larger projects either. The future space of the gallery will focus more on presenting authorial projects (these we are supposed to work further with the curatorial team of Pragovka Gallery), intertwining with the guest curators. The gallery will be in the position to set the range for each project in relation to its quality, the predicted scope is primarily a suggestion and the gallery is not bound to exhibit the project in full.
The open call is open to works of art without curatorial participation in the announced topics for the first time to residents of Pragovka (under the subsequent curatorial guidance of members of the gallery team), but also to longer-term curatorial cooperation. Newly, there is also a residence programme for international artists.
The exhibition spaces for next year will be partially modified according to selected projects, not the other way around, as is usually the case.
In total, applications can be made in three main categories, all of which can be submitted with two applications relating to the topics listed below:
Works of art (final curating project by the Pragovka for Art, z.s. team is assumed)
Guest curator (just 3 curatorial projects; in case of two applications mark application 1a, 1b, 1c, application 2a, 2b, 2c.) The applications can be made either for a singular or multiple exhibition acts, in both cases please include an explanation of your choice in your application letter.
