Mezinárodní visegrádský fond / International Visegrad Fund
The mission of the International Visegrad Fund is to promote development of closer cooperation among the Visegrad Group (V4) countries—the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia—and to strengthen the ties among people in the region. The Fund provides funding for common cultural, scientific, research and educational projects, youth exchanges, promotion of tourism and cross-border cooperation. Most of the grant recipients are non-governmental organizations, municipalities and local governments, universities, schools and other public institutions and also individual citizens. Nadační Fond Mezinárodní Fórum Mládeže / INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM ENDOWMENT FUND
The fund began its activity as a social movement in 2002 like a J&S Group - organizer of the festivals. In 2009 it got legal status as a nonprofit organization ENDOWMENT FUND INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF YOUTH. By organizing social programs for children's and youth's creative work (competitions, seminars, master-classes) the fund contributes to preservation of cultural traditions of different countries and supports talented children of different nationalities especially surrounding by care and attention those in difficult life situations. It unites the children from all over the world cultivates tolerance and respect towards other cultures and religions. Since 2002 projects organized by the fund are supported by the ministry of Educations of the Czech Republic, by the City Hall of Prague, governors of regions and international organizations and political structures in EU. Every year the fund organizes over 20 social projects in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, France and Austria and in other countries with the participation of about 50.000 children. The foundation supports projects within the Cursus Innovati Programme (development of education in humanities). The Society of Czech Writers gives out the award for the "most significant Czech piece of poetry that continues in conveying the best traditions and spirit of Moravian poetry". Website in Czech and some information in English, German and French.
The Jaroslav Seifert Award has been handed out by the Charter 77 Foundation in Stockholm since 1986. Our most significant literary award is given to exceptional works of poetry and fiction that have been recently published in the Czech Republic or abroad during the past three years. The awards ceremony take place every year on September 22, the eve of the famous poet´s birthday. Website in Czech and English.
