The Literary Archive contains the most complete collection of archival sources of the study of Czech literary history of the 19th and 20th century. The collection contains at present 2031 personal, corporation, editorial and other funds, the photo archive (some 100 000 positives and negatives), the Cuttings Archive (about 500 000 sheets), audio and video recordings (some 3500 items) and further material. Archiv Národní knihovny / The Archives of the National Library
The Archives of the National Library take over and preserve records originating in official and professional activities of the National Library (including its predecessors), its management and all its organizational parts, in such activities of social organizations engaged in the National Library, and of former notable members of the library staff. Besides that, also collections and holdings of other institutions are kept in the archives as well as private collections of eminent personalities, and various other collections and holdings. The aforementioned records were either handed over to the Archives, or sorted out in classification of documents of the National Library and its predecessors. Archival holdings and collections are dealt with professionally – they are sorted out, classified, filed, inventory numbers are assigned to them, and then, they are catalogued, – and archival aids are made to help users in their study. They may be studied only in the Central Depository Reading Room on the conditions stipulated in the law on keeping archival records and in the Central Depository Reading Room Regulations. Památník národního písemnictví / The Museum of Czech Literature
The PNP was established to acquire, gather, permanently safekeep, catalogue, scientifically process, and make available museum collections, specifically, collections of material that documents the development of literature and literary culture in the historical Czech lands, including documents on the life, work, and legacy of important figures of Czech literature and literary culture from the 18th century until present, and a collection of works of visual art. Památník písemnictví na Moravě / The Museum of Literature in Moravia
The Museum of Literature was opened in the Benedictine Monastery in Rajhrad on July 1, 2005. The permanent exhibit of the museum contains the most important literary figures from Moravia from the 19th and 20th centuries. Other exhibits and tours of the interior of the restored historic Benedictine library includes almost eighteen thousand books. The entire collection contains 65 000 titles.
